An Artist from Leechburg.

Often just called "Peter Charlie" He was known as Peter Attie Besharo and Peter Charlie Bochero. He was born in 1898 in Armenia and came to the United States in 1903 at the age of 5. He settled on a farm in rural Leechburg area. He lived a solitary life and his activities as an artist remained unknown until his death in the 1960's.

He worked as a Handyman and House Painter and lived in the Leo Moore Hotel (Formally the Hotel Twaddle)in his later years until his death. 70 of His paintings were found in a Old Leechburg Garage He rented which was located behind a Hardware Store after His death.

His works reflect many themes including Space - Religion - Armenian Folk Motifs - American History - Demons as well as other ideas from his subconscious. One of his paintings is of a chained peasant dressed version of Lady Liberty blasting across a blue void. A headlamp guides her on a mission that Bocheros inscriptions and images do not carify.
