• John Vanderen and White Mattock own part of what is now downtown Leechburg

[edit] 1800's

• Founded in 1850, by David Leech.
• Was also known as "Friendship" before it was called Leechburg.
• First house built (a log house). Located near Grace Luthern Church.
• Addison Leech had a residence on Market street.
• Hon. Joseph G. Beale.
• The Spring, which is located behind the current Baker Building, was known as a public resort until the waterworks were built in 1891.

• 1900 - Leechburg celebrates its 50th anniversary.
• 1912 - L & B Bonello's Restaurant Opens.
• March 18, 1936 - Leechburg is flooded by the Kiskiminetas River.
• 1950 - Leechburg celebrates its 100th anniversary.

• 2000 - Leechburg celebrates its 150th anniversary.
• 2003 - 15656.com created.
• 2005 - First Halloweenburg is thrown.
